School Board

The School Board is the policy making body for the school. Responsibilities of the Board include school planning and improvement, the development and review of school policies and goals reviewing and approving the school budget. The board looks at suggestions from the community including the P & C and is informed of new teaching ideas. The Board is asked to make comments and recommendations on all these matters.

The Board’s role is strategic rather then operational and works with the Principal to support the school.

Board membership consists of three parents/carers (elected by the parents/carers), one of whom will be chair, two teachers (elected by the teachers), a nominee of the ACT Education Department, and the Principal as executive officer. Members are elected for a two year term.

Members of the school community are invited to attend school Board meeting as observers. Meeting times are advised in the Gazette.
